As promised…

Stopping by for a snack at Anglin’s Pier in Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida, was this juvenille Brown Pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis). I found it interesting that he (or she?!) was so relaxed and tolerated this non-angler’s determination to take multiple shots while inching closer and closer for a better shot. The contrast between fluffy soft looking feathers and a lloooonnnngggg hooked beak solicited attention.
