Windows of Cochem…

This humble window box is a subtle addition to the Cochem Castle in Germany. Copyright 2019 Pamela Breitberg
Everyone has their own way of planting up their window box. Little maintenance needed here and privacy is under control. Copyright 2019 Pamela Breitberg
Touches of color among the drab. I don’t see the planter boxes but the flowering plants are obviously happy with prolific blooms. Copyright 2019 Pamela Breitberg
Ah, the lovely red Geranium compliment the aging red woodwork trim. Copyright 2019 Pamela Breitberg
A hanging basket full of pink Petunias rest outside these windows. Copyright 2019 Pamela Breitberg
Just lovely. Multi colored Geraniums seem the perfect arrangement in this window box of a traditional home complete with lace curtains. Copyright 2019 Pamela Breitberg
Most traditional Medieval design. One thing I noticed looking at so many window boxes in Germany was how many of the windows opened backwards from what I know in the U.S. The open from the top, inward hinged from a horizontal axis. Most of mine either slide sideways or the bottoms are the parts that open on one of the vertical sides. Copyright 2019 Pamela Breitberg
Simple curtains accompanied with a simple planting of Geraniums. Simple beauty. Copyright 2019 Pamela Breitberg
The height and thick framing of this view seemed a bit intimidating; but it is successfully softened with the presence of flowers. Copyright 2019 Pamela Breitberg
