Bromeliads, aka Air Plants are easy to spot this end-of-winter time of year in the Everglades. Their host is often the Cypress trees; Bromeliads are kind guests, and do not harm their host. Air Plants gain their water and nutrients (and air of course) from the tropical air of their environment. These were on the Seminole Reservation’s richly diverse environment.
