Now for something pretty on the beach…

If the last post left a bad taste in your brain, here are a couple images of some pretty, mentally palatable inhabitants of the sandy beaches. The Railroad-vine, a form of Morning Glory (Ipomoca pes-caprae) brings to mind a beautiful kind of Petunia. The deep violet seemed to be glow in the pre-dusk light on Sanibel beach. Dune Sunflower (Helianthus deblis) draws it’s own attention on the sandy upper beach areas. It is commonly seen along the beaches and beachfront gardens; its sunny disposition is always a welcome sight. It grows best when left on its own once planted. Copyright 2020 Pamela Breitberg
