Soft greens on beach…

Yesterday I was drawn to clumps of these green “things” washing up onto the beach in the afternoon on Ft. Lauderdale’s beach. My first thought was it was some sort of algae but there seemed clear stem-like parts at the end of each clump leading me to think of a Soft Coral. Copyright 2021 Pamela Breitberg
There were quite a few clumps of these green visitors dancing in the waters. That day Seaweed (Sargassum) were not present; another rare observation during the afternoon beach time. Copyright 2021 Pamela Breitberg
A wider image of the shore shows the (possibly) Soft Coral clumps floating among the human beachgoers. I am ever amazed at my fresh observations while visiting the beach. Copyright 2021 Pamela Breitberg
