Creeping Oxeye (Sphagneticola trilobata) appears to be a good choice of a groundcover. In Florida it has become intensely invasive as it chokes out any nearby plants. I know that that in Chicago there is a prairie native, and therefore welcome, Oxeye variety. Pretty to look at but ill advised to include in one’s garden.
