Signs inside the city…

Creative wall mural in the parking lot for Wear Moi; a dance store. It’s large size is evidenced by the small size of the parking signs just below the painting. Copyright 2022 Pamela Breitberg

Chicago has many murals on the sides and fronts of buildings. Some have no retail connection while others are an enticing advertisement for a nearby venue.

Walking down a city street can be an overload of the senses in particularly sight. In addition to street art there are thousands of official signs on lightposts, buildings, and actually anywhere a sign might be posted. These are often accompanied by individual flyers advertising services or property.

Underneath the Red Line El train near Wrigley Field. This lightpost caught my attention with the multiple signs posted; which one is someone suppose to pay attention to first? Some of the signs are reposted just a few feet away I suppose reinforcing the first signs. These sights are complimented with the activity above the street on the El train platform and the crowds arriving for a Cubs game. Walking city streets is often stimulating.
