Resilience, connections and complexity…

Near the Couch Tomb written about a week or so ago in south Lincoln Park I mentioned the complexity of Chicago. Next to this historical site is the newly created Jaffee History Trail. Read about this historically rich venue here. This small outdoor trail highlights Chicago as “resillient, Zhegagonyak, the curious, the complex and community” that makes Chicago such a special place. The black silouetted kinetic sculptures by Chicagoan Bernard Willaims complete the sentence “Community is…..” Learn about Mr. Williams here. There are twelve of these sculptures in the Jaffee History Trail. Copyright 2022 Pamela Breitberg
The Jaffee History Trail is a pleasant walk through a piece of Lincoln Park and perhaps goes unnoticed as a piece of the Chicago History Museum inspite of the signs and it’s location on the east side of the museum. The space remains a green space to be enjoyed by the public. Copyright 2022 Pamela Breitberg
Summer day campers enjoy sports activity in this same spot; it is a place to be enjoyed and used by all. Copyright 2022 Pamela Breitberg
