More traditional wings…

Those black dots aren’t dirt on my camera lens. They are Dragonflies hovering around the pathways along Montrose Harbor in Chicago’s Lincoln Park. The past few years have seen an abundance of the winged creatures.
A bright sunny day helps me capture a few images of these quickly moving Dragonflies. I did not spot any at rest this morning. They were most probably busy feeding on some of the many flies that were also feeding…on my legs! It’s that end of summer time when the flies bite. The trees to the right are the edge of the Bird And Butterfly Sanctuary that I wrote about yesterday. Copyright 2022 Pamela Breitberg
I can’t help but wonder if the Gull was waiting for a nibble from the fishman. Nope I can’t call him a Seagull but rather a Lake Michigan Gull. Copyright 2022 Pamela Breitberg
