Sometimes one deserves a special treat. I usually don’t believe in the idea of “deserving” things, but that’s topic for a different blog. But this past holiday season I needed to give myself a gift that would bring many days of gratitude. Amaryllis bulbs were my choice. And a bonus treat for me is that as the blooms began to fade new bud stalks emerged which continued the showy colors for even longer than expected. And for the more ambitious and patient one can let them rest in the right enviroment and have them sprout all over again. These Amaryllis did brighten my days and spirit.
