Ever changing, ever telling clouds…

Spending time on Lauderdale by the Sea’s beach provides unending, ever changing cloud scenes. One friend faithfully posts each morning sunrise amidst the clouds to Facebook. Thank you, KS! This scene is a zoomed in composition showing a stray grey piece of cloud backlit by blue sky. The lower clouds are still reflecting the yellows of sunlight while the dark clouds overhead show the ever changing dynamics of the weather along the coast. Copyright 2024 Pamela Breitberg
Rainbows are wonderfully frequent above the water’s horizon. Yet this day, it appeared as the rains fell in the same scene. Usually, the necessary ingredient of rain is inland. Always the rain is between the sun and the forming rainbow. Copyright 2024 Pamela Breitberg
I am always awed and stilled by the cloud designs in the vast skies over the ocean. LBTS and neighboring cities are connected with an incredible long stretch of public beach. This allows views of the skies to go on for what seem like inifinity. One can easily watch fronts move in and out, and even form. Rarely is there just one kind of cloud in the scene. The clouds and it’s rain are always different here. This morning the rain, usually identified by the dark streaks under the clouds, were sunlit and white. Amazing and awesome. I feel quite irrelevant compared to nature. Copyright 2024 Pamela Breitberg
And sometimes I just have to watch the moving clouds while looking straight upward while lying down. While the sun is behind a cloud its easy to do. I can watch some clouds move faster than others; some clouds merge into each other making a new larger cloud; some wispy clouds stay independant of the others. Thank you for such wonders God.
