Sunning on a boulder next to a shrine at the Morikami Gardens in south Florida is an Anhinga. Perhaps it recently caught a fish in the waters and suns to dry its non-waterproof feathers. These long-tailed birds are nicknamed Snakebirds or Darters. When they are in the water chasing after fish, only their long necks appear above the water, looking like a snake.
