The next few posts will share late summer images of mature plants peaking through the fences. Here a White Tropical Morning Glory (Ipomoea alba) vine’s flowers bloom on the sunny side of the fence. Flowers open in the evening as it’s nickname, Moonflower, indicates. When I had a home and garden I would be frustrated when flowers chose to bloom on the outside of my garden where the sun shone the brightest. My inner garden was empty of flowers along the garden edges. Copyright 2025 Pamela BreitbergRose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) is a shrub. This plant’s growth is mature enough to poke through the fence. I loved this Hibiscus variety while my mother warned me of its potential invasive tendency.
