Fragile ecosystem…

The Florida Everglades is the rainforest of North America, and home to thousands of unique species of both plants and animals. The Everglades is a rare treasure. But it is seeing the effects of global warming; fresh waters of the Everglades are increasingly being replaced with brackish waters (fresh water mixed with salt waters). Changes are happening not only to the waters but also to the plants and animals dependant upon this unique environment. Copyright 2020 Pamela Breitberg

View from the Billie Swamp Water Cafe. Priceless view of a need-to-be-preserved ecosystem. (The food is MUCH better than the cafe’s name…’s great!) Copyright 2020 Pamela Breitberg
