The Florida Everglades is the rainforest of North America, and home to thousands of unique species of both plants and animals. The Everglades is a rare treasure. But it is seeing the effects of global warming; fresh waters of the Everglades are increasingly being replaced with brackish waters (fresh water mixed with salt waters). Changes are happening not only to the waters but also to the plants and animals dependant upon this unique environment. They deserve our careful respect. Pay attention to the warnings of Global Warning. When each person purposely acts responsibly in even the littlest ways nature (and us) will benefit.
