September 14, 2021 Pamela Breitberg The sun shines through… Morning walks along Lincoln Park’s Lake Michigan’s shoreline is always new. The sun, clouds, winds, and temperature lend to different views each morning. This morning a haze lingered as the sun slowly made it’s prescence known. The concrete staggered walkway is designed to deter flooding; last summer the lower two levels were often under water because Lake Michigan experienced extra high water levels. Only the naive dared to walk on those levels; some were wisked into the Lake’s waters requiring rescue efforts. My preference is to walk this lakefront path instead of the designated foot paths a little further west in the park that too quickly become pedestrian highways.
