Continuing cycles…

This early autumn time of year shows more and more flowers at the end of their blooming cycles. Flowers lose their petals leaving seedheads. This Rose at first appears rather foreboding with it’s spent leaves. But surrounding the falling bloom are buds that should take it’s place of beauty shortly. Whether the buds actually blooms depends on Chicago’s rapidly changing autumn weather. Copyright 2021 Pamela Breitberg
