Like peaches and cherries which also produce drupes, there is one seed inside the fruit defining a “drupe“. While green it is full of the coconut water, so treasured by many. When brown, after about a year, the coconut water has been replaced into the equally treasured coconut meat. And before spending time in Florida I assumed all palm trees grew coconuts!
