Hips in the woods…

Surrounding some other perennial natives, is this Wood’s Rose (Rosa woodsii) shrub. Now in the Rose Hip stage these hips are edible and found in teas and medicine. Again, I warn against eating fruits from parkland or private gardens because of unknown use of pesticides and fertilizers. Enjoy their natural beauty.  Copyright 2023 Pamela Breitberg
