The real thing…

So pretty. Yet its name doesn’t equal its beauty. One would think people have run out of names for native plants. Multiple names that begin with “false” are attributed to this lovely flower. False Solomon’s Seal (Maianthemum racemosum), False Lily of the Valley, and False Spikenard. Not fair! I’ll stick with another name option, the less commonly used Solomon’s Plume.
